Organized Labor Backs Congressman Pete Aguilar

California Labor Federation & Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties Endorse Congressman Pete Aguilar
(San Bernardino, CA) – Congressman Pete Aguilar has received the endorsement of the California Labor Federation and the Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO of San Bernardino and Riverside counties, his campaign announced today. Together, these groups represent over two million California workers.
“Pete Aguilar has always been a strong advocate for working families here in the Inland Empire,” said Laurie Stalnaker, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. “Pete understands what it means for a worker to earn a decent wage in fair working conditions. Our labor council is proud to continue supporting him.”
Commenting on the endorsement, Congressman Aguilar said: “Protecting the rights of workers and growing the Inland Empire’s middle class is a top priority. I’ll continue working to level the economic playing field and bring good-paying jobs to our region.”
The California Labor Federation is made up of more than 1,200 AFL-CIO and Change to Win unions, representing 2.1 million union members in manufacturing, retail, construction, hospitality, public sector, health care, entertainment and other industries.
Pete Aguilar represents California’s 31st congressional district. He is a strong advocate for economic growth and fairness in the Inland Empire and a leader who reaches across party lines to deliver results for San Bernardino County’s middle class.
