California Teachers Association Backs¬†Congressman Pete Aguilar’s Campaign

(San Bernardino, CA) ‚Äď Congressman Pete Aguilar has received the endorsement of the California Teachers Association (CTA), his campaign announced today. With over 325,000 members, CTA is California’s largest professional employees organization.¬†

“Congressman Aguilar has a keen understanding of the struggles that teachers and students continue to face in the classroom here in San Bernardino County,” said Rancho Cucamonga Middle School Teacher Wendy Eccles. “I thank Congressman Aguilar for everything that he’s doing to improve our public education system, and I know that he’ll continue to be a leading voice for educators in Congress.”

Commenting on the¬†endorsement, Congressman Aguilar said: “As a product of public schools and as the father of two young children, I know that there is no¬†substitute for a quality education.¬†Today’s students are¬†tomorrow’s¬†leaders, and I can’t think of a smarter investment to make than in their future.”

Founded in 1863, the California Teachers Association has become one of the strongest advocates for educators in the country. CTA includes teachers, counselors, school librarians, social workers, psychologists, and nurses. These educators in the K-12 school system are joined by community college faculty, California State University faculty, and education support professionals to make CTA the most inclusive and most powerful voice of educators in the state.

Pete Aguilar represents California’s 31st congressional district. He is a strong advocate for economic growth and fairness in the Inland Empire and a leader who reaches across party lines to deliver results for San Bernardino County’s middle class.
