California House Democrats Rally Behind Pete Aguilar For Congress in CA-31

(Redlands, CA) — Redlands Mayor Pete Aguilar, a candidate for Congress in California’s 31st District, has received the support of several Democratic members of Congress from California, his campaign announced today.  They include:

  •          Congresswoman Julia Brownley
  •          Congresswoman Judy Chu
  •          Congresswoman Janice Hahn
  •          Congressman Alan Lowenthal
  •          Congressman Scott Peters
  •          Congressman Adam Schiff
  •          Congressman Eric Swalwell
  •          Congressman Mark Takano
  •          Congressman Henry Waxman

Earlier this month, Aguilar received the endorsement of Congresswomen Gloria Negrete McLeod and Loretta Sanchez.

“Pete Aguilar is a true advocate for middle-class families,” said Congresswoman Judy Chu. “He has a real track record of helping small businesses and strengthening the local economy. I am delighted today to give Pete my full support.”

Congresswoman Janice Hahn added, “As a Mayor, Pete understands what small businesses and working families need to thrive. His ability to work across party lines to get results has earned my enthusiastic support.”

Commenting on today’s endorsements, Pete Aguilar said, “I’m very pleased to have the support of so many Democratic leaders from our great state. Today is a strong vote of confidence in my campaign to help middle-class families, create jobs and fight for the needs of Californians.”

Pete Aguilar (D) is a small business owner and Mayor of Redlands. He is a strong advocate for economic growth and fairness in the Inland Empire, a leader who has reached across party lines to serve the best interests of middle-class families.

As Redlands Mayor, Pete has forged commonsense solutions that have improved the city’s economy, created jobs, and strengthened vital services that businesses and residents rely on.

Pete worked to balance the city budget, turning its multi-million dollar deficit into a surplus and improving the city’s credit rating. Pete also led efforts to make Redlands more attractive to businesses and to invest in San Bernardino County’s infrastructure.

Pete lives with his wife Alisha and their two children in Redlands, California.
