Aguilar Earns Support of Local Business Owners

(San Bernardino, CA) – Today, Inland Empire business owners met with Congressman Pete Aguilar in support of his re-election bid and to discuss ways to make conditions better for businesses in the region. The roundtable conversation took place at Parliament Chocolate in Redlands, which is owned by A la Minute founder Ryan Berk. They discussed Congressman Aguilar’s record of advocating on behalf of businesses and exchanged ideas on how to help businesses expand and hire more workers.
“As someone who runs a small business in San Bernardino, I appreciate everything Pete has already done on our behalf,” said Laura Fenster of Fenster & Fenster CPA’s. She continued, “I know he’ll continue to listen to the business community and advocate for us in Congress.”
Bill Hatfield of Hatfield Buick GMC in Redlands added, “I’ve known Pete a long time going back to his days as mayor. The bottom line is that he gets it when it comes to making this area business friendly. He reaches out to Republicans like myself and gets things done, which is exactly what we need to help our economy.”
Bilal Khan of New World Medical in Rancho Cucamonga said, “We’re still a growing business, and Pete understands that when businesses are given the flexibility to expand, we can bring on more workers. His vote to repeal the medical device tax is a prime example that he’s ready to do what’s right and not just vote along party lines.”
“I’m grateful to have the support of such hard-working business leaders in our community,” said Congressman Aguilar. He added, “These folks are both Republicans and Democrats, but the one thing they have in common is they want to make our region a better place for families to live and work. I will continue fighting to give businesses the tools to hire more workers, which will grow our middle class and create a strong local economy.”
Pete Aguilar represents California’s 31st congressional district. He is a strong advocate for economic growth and fairness in the Inland Empire and a leader who reaches across party lines to deliver results for San Bernardino County’s middle class.
