Aguilar Campaign Raises $200,000 in Third Quarter

(San Bernardino, CA) ‚ÄĒ Pete Aguilar‚Äôs campaign for Congress in California‚Äôs 31st¬†district announced today that it raised $200,016 in the third quarter of 2013, surpassing $500,000 raised in the first six months of the campaign. The campaign has $437,725 cash on hand.

‚ÄúPeople are fed up with a Congress that refuses to aid our economy, tackle immigration reform and then shuts down our government over access to health care. I‚Äôm running for Congress to deliver the results that Inland Empire voters want in Washington,‚ÄĚ Pete Aguilar said.

An early October survey conducted by Public Policy Polling in the 31st district demonstrated that voters want a change. Taken before the full effect of the government shutdown, the survey showed voters choosing a Democratic candidate over Congressman Gary Miller by 48 to 39 percent.

As Mayor of Redlands, Aguilar has forged commonsense solutions that have improved the city’s economy, created jobs and strengthened vital services. He has balanced the city’s budget for four consecutive years, turning its multi-million dollar deficit into a surplus and improving the city’s credit rating.
