Redlands, CA – Today, the Aguilar for Congress campaign announced a debate to be hosted by the Redlands Daily Facts. Redlands Mayor Pete Aguilar, Democratic candidate for Congress in California’s 31st district, will debate Republican Paul Chabot on Monday, October 20, 2014. His statement follows:
“The people in San Bernardino County deserve to hear where we stand on the issues facing middle class families,” said Aguilar. “On education, jobs and protections for seniors and veterans, there are major differences in this election, and I am looking forward to discussing my plan that invests in our schools and economy and my commitment to working across the aisle in Washington to deliver results for the Inland Empire.”
The debate is being organized and hosted by The Redlands Daily Facts. Toni Momberger, Editor of the Redlands Daily Facts, will moderate along with two other panelists for a two hour event where both candidates will be given the opportunity to make statements and take questions from the panelists and the audience.
Pete Aguilar is a small business owner and Mayor of Redlands. He is a strong advocate for economic growth and fairness in the Inland Empire, a leader who has reached across party lines to serve the best interests of middle-class families in San Bernardino County.
